A huge congratulations to Rick & Chris Mooney for their recognition from the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce!
Rick Mooney of Sterling Insurance Agency has won the Leslie S. Ray Hall of Fame award! This is a Special Recognition Award the Chamber presented Rick with for his lifetime of service to the greater Beverly community. Since 1985, he has been involved with many non-profit organizations which includes, Grateful Friends, Past President of Beverly Rotary, Past President Beverly Main Streets, Past President Beverly Cove Improvement Association, Fisher Fuel Society, Beverly Red Cross, Beverly Youth Collaboration, Beverly YMCA, North Shore YMCA, United Way North Shore, Served on Beverly Hospital Advisor Board, youth sports. Rick has combined his love of Music with his fellow band mates from Chin Friction to perform for many organizations and causes which Include the Pete Frates Foundation, ALS, Beverly Main Streets, Beverly Rotary, Beverly Homeless and recently Beverly Kiwanis and Greater Chamber of Commerce. Rick has been a staple in this community as well as working to continue the Sterling Insurance legacy set in 1929 when the company was founded by Lester Sterling. We are so excited and proud of Rick for his dedication and looking forward to seeing him be presented with this award Wednesday night!
We also want to congratulate Chris Mooney on being nominated the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Leader of the year! Chris Mooney is a Business Development Manager and Licensed Broker at Sterling Insurance and has worked in the family business since 2009, and full time since 2013. Chris is actively involved in the Beverly Community, as he serves on various community organizations and boards. In addition to being part of the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce, Chris is the President of the Kiwanis Club of Beverly, the incoming president of BNI Red Rocks, along with being involved in many other organizations. It is a great honor to be nominated and we are incredibly proud of Chris!
The 11th Annual Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce Business Awards will be held on September 28th at Danversport from 5-8 PM. This event will be a great opportunity to recognize those in our community that go above and beyond to serve. Huge thank you Leslie Gould for putting this show on, and to the Premiere Sponsor of the event, M&T Bank.
