Sterling Insurance is proud to announce that our very own Connor Mooney will be riding in the 2019 Pan Mass Challenge. Connor is out of his mind, as he completed the 200 mile bike race last year, and still wanted to do it again this year! Connor actually ended up raising a whopping $10,390 last year, and wants to at least match that this year! The Pan Mass Challenge(PMC) is an annual bike-a-thon that runs through 46 towns across Massachusetts. The mission of the challenge is to raise money for life saving cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The PMC has been around since 1980 and by channeling 100% of every rider-raised dollar directly to the Jimmy Fund, it is the most successful fundraising event for charity in the nation. Over $60 million was raised for the cause last year, bringing the 39 year contribution to Dana-Farber to more than $665 million!
We couldn’t be more proud of Connor, he has been working extremely hard not only to raise money for this cause, but also to prepare himself physically for the challenge.
